Colorado's licensed psilocybin program is non-medical. Anyone 21 or over can attend after a safety screening, no diagnosis is required, and facilitators are not clinicians unless they hold a separate licence. That makes it a legal way to have a supervised psilocybin experience with substance use as your stated intention, and not an addiction treatment program: there is no detox, no withdrawal management and no medical follow-up.
The Center Origin was the first healing center licensed in the state and names addiction among the conditions it serves. Every client goes through screening and two preparation sessions before an administration session. If you are physically dependent on alcohol, treat this as something to discuss with your treatment team as a possible adjunct once you are stable.
